What are the Benefits of Trigger Point Therapy
People tell us that after treatment they get:
Pain Relief – for all kinds of conditions! Read about some of them by clicking on the
conditions tab. You may very well discover that you can pick up the kids, do your sports
and housework activities, and work with less pain following treatment with Trigger Point
Therapy! Read about these on our testimonial page.
Increased Flexibility – Imagine reaching up to a higher shelf because the muscles
in your shoulder are more flexible. Runners tell us that they have a longer stride and can
run faster. Many have told us that they can parallel park easier because they have more
movement in their neck and low back.
Better Sleep – Sleep is often disrupted by pain caused by trigger points. Our clients
often tell us that they sleep better, wake less frequently, and are more refreshed when they
wake up after therapy.
More Energy – Imagine having the energy to take care of the kids, work around the
house, or take a trip you have been putting off. People frequently tell us they have the
energy to do these things following treatment.
These are the benefits that our clients regularly tell us they receive following
treatment. No one can or should make promises about what will happen in a
given situation. We promise to make every attempt to help bring your body
into a more balanced state so it can heal itself.
People with Pain
If you are a person in pain you will find important information to help you take care of your
pain. If you need therapy – here we are. We have been trained in the art and science of
Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy. We have been helping people in pain since 1984.
A sad event in the lives of many people with chronic pain is how they have been treated by
those who do not understand what has happened to them. These people often include
family, friends, and even healthcare professionals. Doctors wisely send their patients to
other caregivers who specialize in other areas of care. If these other professionals fail to
locate the cause of your symptoms they often become as frustrated as you. They want to
help but if your complaint fails to fit into a diagnostic category they are familiar with, you can’
t be diagnosed and they send you back. When this has occurred a few times it is not
unusual for those around you to suspect there is a “mental” issue, you might be faking or
exaggerating your symptoms, or that there is some underlying scary disease that has yet
to be discovered.
In my experience, family and friends are supportive for about two – four weeks. After that
they begin to expect that the pain has gone on long enough. Care givers often think that
too. The majority of people who are injured get better in a few months. Some research
puts this number at 90%. If you are in the remaining 10% persons pain complaints fail to
conform to what is thought to be “normal” it is likely that you are being viewed with
suspicion.
If you have not yet been evaluated for Myofascial Trigger Points (MTPs) and Fibromyalgia
(FM) there is still work to be done. These are the most common soft tissue conditions.
They are poorly understood by many healthcare professionals. This site offers you solid
information to help in your pursuit of pain relief and recovery from Chronic Myofascial Pain
(CMP) and Fibromyalgia (FM).
Healthcare Professionals
If you are health care practitioner there is something important here for you. This site will
expose you to the discipline of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy. This website contains
