Work Related Injury: A Problem and it’s Solution
Injured employees are not cheap. They raise insurance rates, are not in the office making
you money, talk to other employees about their situation, and lower productivity in a number of
ways.
This situation can be alleviated in a cost effective manner by addressing injuries before they
occur. We do this by dealing with the issues that have an effect on muscle function. This
makes us unique. We offer a number of services to address the problem in a proactive
manner.
Post Employment Pre Work Screening
We evaluate the employee for those injuries to which their job is susceptible. We then use
this information to create a tailored action plan to prevent that injury.
Work Site Evaluation
We interview Management and Employees to identify the injuries common to the particular
jobs in the company. Utilizing this information we evaluate the work site to identify why the
issues occur and propose solutions based on input received and 20= years of experience in
treating muscle pain. Specifically, we evaluate:
· Ergonomics – How do the employees use their body to get the job done.
· Muscle Function – What work related activities place the muscles at a disadvantage.
Solutions are then designed for these issues.
· Initiating/Perpetuating factors – A number of activities are known to put muscles at risk
or to perpetuate injury. We show how to optimize function and get the job done.
· We work with both individuals and groups.
Group Workshops
· Cover issues common to the group.
· Emphasize both individual responsibility and interdependence.
Tailored Muscle Flexibility Programs
Muscle flexibility programs can be tailored to individuals as well as groups to prevent injury
and reduce recurrence.
On-Site Mini Therapy Sessions
Many companies can benefit by having a therapist on site to deal with specific issues. This
leads to increased productivity, decreased sick time, and increased job satisfaction.
Panel Provider
Place the Center for Pain Treatment on your list of panel providers. Your workers will receive
treatment that results in a quicker healing time resulting in less work comp costs. Workers
who are relieved of pain quickly return to work and cut down on disability claims.
